After losing to Lads Club Tigers Girls, Ross Juniors made it to the plate semi-finals for the Herefordshire Girls under 11's leauge. The time came for the girls to play Pegasus. After a nail biting first half, the whistle blew and the score was nil-nil. A team talk at half time got the girls reared up for the next half of play. Coaches Phil, Dani and Emily were all on the side line to support us throughout. Then Ella Jones snuck up the wing and blast the ball into the back of the net. 1-0 Ross! After some close shots from the opposition, Hannah Jenkins made an exellent tackle and took it strait past the two defenders and struck the ball into the net. 2-0 Ross. Then the Pegasus midfielders played the ball to each other and grabbed a goal back. 2-1. The girls became very competitive now and another great run from Ella Jones made the score 3-1. After the kick off their was only another 5 minutes to go and Meg T grabbed the ball and shot from the corner of the box. It bounced off the post and into the back of the net!!! 4-1 Ross. The final whistle blew and the girls had done it!! They had won the all important match! They will shortly be playing at Edgar Street in the Plate Final for the Under 11's Leauge.
