Reception and Year Three both really enjoyed their first session out in the Forest School grounds. To begin with we discussed how to keep safe at Forest School, played some games to help them explore the area and spent some time taking part in investigative play. Both year groups have been busy creating some spectacular creations in the mud kitchen, climbing trees, enjoying the serenity of the hammock, collecting mini beasts and building dens.
During week two Reception enjoyed further investigative play and created some beautiful 3D art work from leaf litter. Year Three spent most of the day knee deep in mud as we endured some rather spectacular weather! However, when it cleared, the children enjoyed having the opportunity to plant some of the trees we have been kindly given by the Woodland Trust to extend our wooded area.
